this locomotive was in ROUGH shape when it arrived. Missing it's cab, smokebox door, valve guides, draw bar and some appliances. It was also completly worn out.
The rebuild started in 2008 with disassembly and inspections
In 2010 the Frame, boiler, and tender were repainted
In 2011 the tenders frame had a broken screw stuck in it also the wheels were out of tune
In 2012 a parts supplier was purchased and all mechanical parts were used (motor, running gear assembly)
On May 1st, 2012 she moved under her own power for the first time since the 1970s
Further work was needed and initially a second tender was rebuilt and replaced the tender the #5 had gotten on may 1st
Electrical work was completed and the locomotive had been fine tuned on may 29th
On June 1st, 2012 she ran perfect for the first time
